"And here's your cut, Jewel," Ya Ya said, pushing a stack of money towards her.

Jewel quickly pushed the money back. "I don't want the money. None of what we did was worth it,” she said angrily. "We killed a man today!"

“Um, correction. You were behind the wheel,” Ya Ya reminded her. “Not we.”

“Fuck you,” Jewel said between clenched teeth.

"Trust me. One man's life is definitely worth all this," Ya Ya said, pushing the stack of money back towards Jewel. “Now the world’s got one less oblivious motherfucker roaming the streets. I mean, who the hell crosses when they see a truck coming anyway?”

“Ya Ya?!” Jazlyn snapped at her. “You so damn insensitive. Chill, seriously.”

“Right Ya, can’t you see Jewel’s taking it hard?” Aimee added.

Ya Ya rolled her eyes and continued counting her share for the fifth time.

"Jewel, what’s done is done," Jazlyn finally said. “Harping about it ain’t gonna change the past and it damn sure ain’t gonna bring that man back. Just count yourself blessed and be glad it wasn’t you or one of us.”

Jewel turned to face her sister with tear-filled eyes. "So I’m supposed to just sweep it under the rug?” she asked. “If you think I can do that then you’re twice as insensitive as Ya Ya. That was a man’s life.” Tears slipped from her eyes as she spoke. “Listen to you…I feel like I don’t even know you…”

“Says the girl who’s been fucking her sister’s ex,” Jazlyn retorted.

“Whoa! Everybody, I’ma need ya’ll to come down five notches,” Aimee said. “We’ve been through way too much shit today to be at each other’s necks like this.”

There was an awkward silence in Jazlyn’s living room before anyone spoke again.

"You know what?” Jewel said, standing to her feet. “I'm not even with this shit no more." With that, she placed her hand gun on the table beside her share of the money.

"Excuse me?! What the hell you mean you ain't with it?" Ya Ya asked, standing to her feet. "We got away!"

"Yeah, but you said no one would get killed!" Jewel cried.

"Girl, one punk ass bum gets ran over, so what? Anybody else who gets in our fucking way should get the same damn treatment!"

"Jewel's right," Jazlyn said. "We're too damn hot. Two robberies in less than two weeks. We gotta lay low for a while."

"I agree," Aimee said.

Ya Ya looked mortified. "What the fuck are ya'll on?"

Jazlyn cut her eyes at Ya Ya. "No, what the fuck are you on? None of this shit would have ever happened if you weren't being so fucking greedy—"

"Greedy? Bitch, I'm trying to eat! I thought you were too—”

“I am. But I'm not starving to the point where I’m reckless! That’s exactly what you were today!”

Ya Ya blew out a sigh of frustration. "Oh my God. I seriously can’t deal. Ya'll are acting like some little bitches. One lil’ casualty and ya'll wanna retreat with ya tails tucked between ya legs. What happened to getting money? We going so hard right now.
